The Liberal Jewish Synagogue, 1954 - 1978
Scope and Contents
10 pamphlets published by the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in London, containing a number of the Claude Montefiore Lectures between 1954 and 1978. Founded by Montefiore in 1911, the Synagogue is the oldest Liberal Jewish congregation in the nation. Occasional manuscript material such as letters, leaflets, or other small pieces of ephemera are present along with individual pamphlets. Lecture dates reflect when the talk was delivered, and do not necessarily match the publication year. The materials included are as follows.
