Scope and Contents

10 pamphlets containing lectures published by British charity The English Association between 1924 and 1984. All are Presidential Addresses, with the exception of Theodore Besterman’s 1973 Arundel Esdaile Lecture. Occasional manuscript material such as letters, leaflets, or other small pieces of ephemera are present along with individual pamphlets. Lecture dates reflect when the talk was delivered, and do not necessarily match the publication year. The materials included are as follows.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. For use of all manuscripts collections, researchers are advised to contact the Booth Family Center for Special Collections in advance of any visit.
