25 letters, post cards and notes written to Colby from a variety of acquaintances, including noted literary critic Maurice Bowra and prolific romance novelist Berta Ruck. A curatorial file by Scheetz is also included.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Biographical / Historical
Reginald Colby (b. 1906), was a British journalist and author born in Woking, England. Following his graduation from Wadham College, Oxford in 1927, he served in Madagascar and Berlin during the Second World War, and became a foreign correspondent in Vienna. He was a contributor to Country Life, and author of The Story of the Waterloo Despatch (1965), Berlin under Four Flags, and Mayfair: A Town within London (1966).
