Scope and Contents

Materials related to British historian Michael Maclagan. There are four items: first, a note on Trinity College letterhead addressed “Dear Ursula” – potentially to fellow historian Ursula Dronke (1920-2012) – and dated January 15, 1949; an edited typescript of a brief review in the English Historical Review accompanied by an offprint of the same, dated 1978; and finally a handwritten obituary for fellow medieval historian Noel Denholm-Young (1904-1975).

Michael Maclagan (1914-2003) was a British medieval historian, herald, and book collector. He spent the majority of his career at Trinity College, Oxford.
