Two Commonplace Book c. 1820 and 1831, Circa 1820-1831
Scope and Contents
A British commonplace book of poem, epitaphs, and extracts. A number of pieces have a connection to the city of Bristol in Southwest England. An index follows the main contents. No name or date for the compilation is given, though the latest piece with a date is 1820. Bound in marbled paper over board. Both covers are detached and the text block is in multiple pieces. The hand, style, and contents are very similar to that of the c. 1831 commonplace book, and the two may be related.
