Taylor Family, Late 19th century-1930s
Scope and Contents
48 black and white photographs of members of the Taylor family of Sussex, including formal and informal portraits, weddings, holidays, and other depictions of daily life in the late 19th century through the 1930s. The majority of the photographs are annotated by Irene Aimee Taylor (b. 1924) with biographical sketches, reminiscences, and added details including descriptions of clothing worn. A complete family portrait, dated 1928, has writing on the verso that suggests Irene is annotating the photographs in 1967. Three journals written by Irene’s mother,
