Sir Cecil Kisch, 1907 - 1957

Scope and Contents

The personal collection of British civil servant, author and historian Cecil. Kisch, the majority of which concerns his connection to Trinity College, Oxford, where he himself studied. The collection comprises 5 miscellaneous letters sent to Kisch, various Trinity ephemera including 6 sets of menus and other materials related to various dinners between 1927 and 1957, and collected news-clippings and other ephemera related to Cecil Lubbock and H.A. Prichard, who both had Trinity connections.

Biographical / Historical

Sir Cecil Herman Kisch (March 31, 1884- October 20, 1961) was a British civil servant in the British India Office and later an author, historian, and translator of Russian poetry. He was knighted in 1932 and died in 1961.
