Scope and Contents

One photograph album documenting Charles Lindbergh's 1928 visit to Panama on the Spirit of St. Louis. The photographs document a visit to the Escuela Professional de Mujeres, which was operated by Esther Niera de Calvo. She is featured in some of the photographs. In addition to the album, there are four photographic prints, one of which features Lindbergh and Horacio Alfaro. Also includes is a 2018 newspaper article celebrating the anniversary of the visit that features additional images (in Spanish) and postcard (1993).
