Series 2: Graphics Materials

Scope and Contents

The series contains an assortment of graphic materials, including posters, calendars, printed ephemera, maps, and textiles (tshirts, one hat, and one banner). These materials were produced during the Soviet–Afghan War, the Afghan Civil War, and the post-2001 U.S. invasion period.

The materials feature several notable political and military leaders, such as Burhanuddin Rabbani, Osama Bin Laden, and Hamid Karzai.

Conditions Governing Access

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. For use of all manuscripts collections, researchers are advised to contact the Booth Family Center for Special Collections in advance of any visit.
