Scope and Contents
The series contains musical compositions authored by Ruth Norman, including music manuscripts and printed scores. It includes completed works as well as fragmentary pieces of compositions. Lyrics for some choral works are also included. Notebooks containing various works are included in this series. It also contains unidentified pieces of music composed by Norman and a small amount of works by other composers.
Norman produced a variety of works, including piano solo compositions, organ solo compositions, choral compositions, solo vocal compositions, and orchestral compositions.

Conditions Governing Access
Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. For use of all manuscripts collections, researchers are advised to contact the Booth Family Center for Special Collections in advance of any visit.
