Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Contains incorporation and tax papers; the Society's constitution; early correspondence; and printed materials, including two scrapbooks documenting the Society's activities from 1948 to 1950. Also includes materials from Forest H. Sweet and Julia Newman. Sweet's documents derive from the early days of the Manuscpit Society, and Julia Newman's materials are from the 1960s ad 1970s. The Newman materials were kept in this series as they were donated together with the Forest H. Sweet materials.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. For use of all manuscripts collections, researchers are advised to contact the Booth Family Center for Special Collections in advance of any visit.
