These include an unpublished biography of Confucius, "Vita Confusii Philosophi Apud Sinensis Sapientissimi ac Sanctissimi Magistri", by the Franciscan missionary Fr. Carolus Horatii á Castorano (Carlo Orazi da Castorano), OFM, a significant opponent of the Jesuits in the Chinese Rites controversy, as well as a report of Jesuit martyrdom in Vietnam, "Relazione della pretiosa morte de Padri Bartolomeo Alvarez, Emanuele de Abreu, Vincenzo de Cunha, e Gio[vanni] Gasparo Cratz, Missionari Apostolici della Compagnia di Giesu uccisi in odio della Fede nel Tunchino il Di' XII di Gennaio del 1735."
