Scope and Contents

Twenty-eight letters and postcards, hand- and typewritten from Edwin Emerson to Ames W. Williams, 20 February 1946 - 8 July 1952. (See especially Emerson's letter, 5 August 1948, with which he sent a carbon copy of his typescript of Who Got There First? with copious corrections and changes written by Emerson - item 26; also the one dated 15 November 1947, about Stephen Crane in Havana); manuscript list by Emerson in pencil and ink of title of lantern-slides of pictures of the Spanish-American War, 8 pages, written on file folders, see letters re lantern slides); and manuscript entitled Sequence of Dream Tales, 4 pages, legal size paper, in pencil. See items 1 and 2.
