Folder 1 - 3: Financial correspondence, 1916 - 1921
Scope and Contents
Includes correspondence, principally with Alpheus H. Favour, attorney, concerning the estate of Percival Julius Werlich and Lucy Glover Werlich. Percival Werlich, divorced from McCeney's mother, Hattie McCeney, married Lucy Glover in 1903. The second Mrs. Werlich died on 6 October 1915, predeceasing her husband by several months. The method in which the terms of both wills were carried out were contested by members of Lucy Glover Werlich's family. Court battles continued until March 1921 when an appeal decision was made in McCeney Werlich's favor.
