Scope and Contents
Correspondence, documents, and related material concerning McCeney Werlich's burial and estate. Included is material concerning $4,100.00 awarded to Gladys Werlich through the Deficiency Appropriation Bill of 1936. The bill was introduced on her behalf by Congresswoman Edith Nourse Rogers of Massachusetts. Such measures are "customarily done in behalf of widows of Foreign Service officers dying in the Service."
