The file includes, among other material: - TLS, Frederick W. B. Coleman, concerning the impropriety of arriving at dinner "17 minutes after the Minister." 1/8/27. - Memorandum on available consular funds on hand. 2/24/27. - State Department memorandum: "I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your note of 28th February 1927... that from this date you have taken charge of the American Consulate in Riga." 3/3/27. - Carbon of review of the Consulate's trade work for the year 1926, listing number of title of reports, memoranda and studies. - Carbon of deposition given by William Joseph Lawrence, agent for Cunard Steamship Company, concerning tickets sold to Wulf and Pessie Shpak, on route from Moscow to New York. - Carbon of letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs on the death of Janis Tschakste, President of the Latvian Republic.
