Grandparents and [?] great-grandparents, 1873-1910

 File — Box: 10, Folder: 6

Scope and Contents

- 2 autograph letters on postcards signed “Großmutter” to Konrad Wolff as a child. Postmarked 1910. Presumably from his father’s mother (Lehna or Selma). In German. - 5 ALS from “your… father, L. Ball” (or Z. Ball, I. Ball, of F. Ball?) to “Selma,” Wilhelm [Wolff] and Selma, or his “dear children” 1873-1882 (the 1873 letter mentioning a young Martin); several with appended letters or notes, signed “I.U.” (“L.U.”?) and “your… mother, Louise.”

Louise and L. Ball were apparently Selma Ball’s parents. Selma was perhaps the wife of Wilhelm Wolff, and thus the mother of Martin Wolff and the grandmother of Konrad Wolff; although this seems to contradict several online biographies, which name Lehna Ball as mother of Martin Wolff.
