Collection of manuscript poems by 56 minor British poets. Includes prose and 3 photographs. Poets include: Alfred Austin, Mary Elizabeth Braden, "Alfred Crowquill," Francis Jeffrey, J. Sheridan Knowles, Lord John Russell, Charles Augustus Sala, and Martin F. Tupper.

Biographical / Historical

Prince, born in Lancashire, began to write poetry at the age of 19. He published 5 volumes of poetry and from 1845 to 1851 was the editor of the 'Ancient Shepherd's Quarterly Magazine' of Manchester.
