Collection of manuscript poems by 56 minor British poets. Includes prose and 3 photographs. Poets include: Alfred Austin, Mary Elizabeth Braden, "Alfred Crowquill," Francis Jeffrey, J. Sheridan Knowles, Lord John Russell, Charles Augustus Sala, and Martin F. Tupper.

Biographical / Historical

Born in Lincolnshire, Miller tried his hand at several trades before opening his own basket-making business in Nottingham in 1831. Miller then moved to London, where he produced over 45 volumes of poetry and novels, but was not financially successful.
