Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. Biographical / Historical
MacDonald was born in Glasgow and worked as a printer in Paisley. He changed careers to write for the 'Glasgow Citizen' and and several other papers and journals. He wrote poetry and prose and was known for his love of nature.
