Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Biographical / Historical

William Linley, born in London, joined the East India Company in 1790 as a writer. After retirement in 1810, he continued in London as a composer of songs and glees and writer of literature.
