Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. Biographical / Historical

Born and died in Edinburgh; Scottish judge and literary critic, best known as the editor of the Edinburgh Review. Jeffrey directed many attacks against Romanticism, including several directed at William Wordsworth.
