Collection of manuscript poems by 56 minor British poets. Includes prose and 3 photographs. Poets include: Alfred Austin, Mary Elizabeth Braden, "Alfred Crowquill," Francis Jeffrey, J. Sheridan Knowles, Lord John Russell, Charles Augustus Sala, and Martin F. Tupper.

Biographical / Historical

Hall was born in Waterford, Ireland. In 1821 he left for London, where he studied law before becoming a prolific reporter, writer, and editor. He is best known for his editorship of The Art Journal.
