Collection of manuscript poems by 56 minor British poets. Includes prose and 3 photographs. Poets include: Alfred Austin, Mary Elizabeth Braden, "Alfred Crowquill," Francis Jeffrey, J. Sheridan Knowles, Lord John Russell, Charles Augustus Sala, and Martin F. Tupper.

Biographical / Historical

Colton was a well-educated English cleric, writer, and collector, who, after leaving formal church service at the age of 48, lived his final years in Paris.
