Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Colton was a well-educated English cleric, writer, and collector, who, after leaving formal church service at the age of 48, lived his final years in Paris.
