Scope and Contents
The papers of Ora Patience Lumpkin Mayfield are contained in 5 boxes. Box 1 comprises correspondence only. Box 2 contains memorabilia collected by Ora Mayfield, and the arrangement is alphabetical. The third (3) box holds greeting cards and photo albums of family and friends while box 4 contains diaries and books. The last box (5) holds two (2) Tyler Rose commemorative plates.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Includes Josephus Daniels letter to EBM dated November 26, 1935 from the American Embassy in Mexico re: Ora's trip to Mexico. Gives a bit of insight to the Mexican situation in 1935. Also a letter from John S. regarding his mother's trip to Washington.
