1946 to 1952 Correspondence from Leslie Biffle (then Secretary of the U.S. Senate). References made in the letters to such things as "knock down and drag out fights" in Texas politics, the Alger Hiss matter, Korean War, and the 1952 presidential campaign with comments on Adlai Stevenson, the then Democratic Party candidate. Includes copies of speeches made by John Roosevelt (FDR's son).
