Scope and Contents note
The Rogers Family Papers consist of fifteen series, the first being on the Rogers & Clarke families in general, and the remainder focusing on the papers of individuals such as James Webb Rogers I, J. Harris Rogers, James Charles Rogers, Cora Rogers Clarke, Phillips H. Clarke Jr., Mae Harris Clarke and George E. Sullivan. The final series contains objects and oversize materials of varying types.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. Container Summary
The Objects and Oversize Materials Series comprises 1 box of objects and 11 boxes of oversize materials. The objects consist of light bulbs and a few other experimental apparatus used or created by J. Harris Rogers, some of them unidentifiable. The objects also consist of two small motion picture films, at least one of which has original footage of J. Harris Rogers. The oversize materials consist of a variety of documents, including photographs, diplomas, maps, and blue prints, the latter two pertaining to the construction businesses of the Rogers and Clarke families and the neighborhoods they developed.
