The Rogers Family Papers consist of fifteen series, the first being on the Rogers & Clarke families in general, and the remainder focusing on the papers of individuals such as James Webb Rogers I, J. Harris Rogers, James Charles Rogers, Cora Rogers Clarke, Phillips H. Clarke Jr., Mae Harris Clarke and George E. Sullivan. The final series contains objects and oversize materials of varying types.

Container Summary
2 ALSs from Joseph E. Johnston, Civil War General for the C.S.A, to J. Harris Rogers, 1 ALS from Rogers to Johnston, all regarding the Pan Electric scandal. The first ALS from Johnston is vague and discusses "Pennsylvania Business" (28 Feb 1884). Johnston's second ALS discusses a meeting time to get Rogers' "personal assistance" on matters (10 Apr 1884, letter damaged). The ALS from Rogers to Johnston discusses the Pan Electric Telephone and Telegraph Company and recent experiments related to his telephone inventions (undated).
