The Rogers Family Papers consist of fifteen series, the first being on the Rogers & Clarke families in general, and the remainder focusing on the papers of individuals such as James Webb Rogers I, J. Harris Rogers, James Charles Rogers, Cora Rogers Clarke, Phillips H. Clarke Jr., Mae Harris Clarke and George E. Sullivan. The final series contains objects and oversize materials of varying types.

Container Summary
6 TLSs and 1 ALS from, with 9 carbon TLSs to, Captain S. C. Hooper, U.S. Navy, mostly regarding J. Harris Rogers' radio innovation during World War I and Roger's patent litigation in the 1920's. Includes a letters from Hooper which Rogers used as evidence in one of his cases (22 Nov 1917) and an insightful ALS from Hooper stating to JHR, "you were the one who deserves the credit for introducing us to the underground system, which you originated" (25 Jan 1919). Hooper later received more credit than Rogers for the development of overseas communication by the Navy with underground antennae.
