The Rogers Family Papers consist of fifteen series, the first being on the Rogers & Clarke families in general, and the remainder focusing on the papers of individuals such as James Webb Rogers I, J. Harris Rogers, James Charles Rogers, Cora Rogers Clarke, Phillips H. Clarke Jr., Mae Harris Clarke and George E. Sullivan. The final series contains objects and oversize materials of varying types.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Container Summary
Xerox copies, photostats and transcriptions of letters to and from John Rogers (1794 1823), the father of James Webb Rogers, I. Many of the letters concern his involvement in the War of 1812, his resignation from the Navy and his subsequent attempts to re enter the Navy as an officer. Most of the copies come from the Navy Archives and the North Carolina Historical Archives. Includes letters to and from Robert Brent, Thomas Ruffin and Paul Hamilton.
