Container Summary

1 Partly Printed Document: "List of Articles Lost or Destroyed in the Public Service at Ringgold Barracks, Texas while in possession and charge of Capt. S. Harned, Asst Quarter Mastr United States Army, in the month of August, 1865." Goods lost include trousers, drawers, stockings, haversacks, canteens, spades, and hatchets;" signed by S. Harned, Quartermaster. Also, attached to the same document is 1 Autograph letter Signed dated 10/9/1865 from Charles H. Daniels, 2nd Lieutenant, to Quarter Master Kelly, regarding the same lost material, with reference to supplies being sent to Whites Ranch, Texas, Brownsville, Texas, and to Ringgold Barracks; sent from Office A.Q.M. 3rd Brigade, 2d Division, 25th Army Corps from Roma, Texas.
