1 Autograph Letter Signed dated 5/15/1863 from Blufield A. Creasy [?], a member of Company D 24th Virginia Regiment, to his wife, regarding his experiences during the American Civil War. References to the Confederates not going into Maryland, the death of Stonewall Jackson [who died on 5/10/1863 at Guinea Station, Virginia] , Tilmond C. Hall, George Hall, John Chapman, John R. Adames [sic?], Charles Dowdy, William W. Crenshaw, Pat Chapman, William Frazear [sic?], having Yankee socks, the Union being entrenched along the river, and some Union troops going to Winchester [Virginia]. Sent from Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Creary advises sending mail to Guineas Station, Caroline County in the care of O.W. Spriggs.
