Reference to the translation into French of "Songs Before Sunrise" (1871), as well as Swinburne's opinion on others of his poems suitable for translation: "...je ne trouve pas Dolores tout a fait digne de l'honneur que vous lui faites...Je prefererais etre represente par les deux chants du temps d'ordre et du temps de revolution, ou peut-etre meme par le Tannhauser ou Laus Veneris..."
