Manuscript #240: AN (watermarked 1879, 2 pages) by Algernon Charles Swinburne. According to Mayfield's Curatorial File and Index Card #240, this manuscript includes notes by Swinburne on the Jacobean play, "The Tragedy of Sir John Van Olden Barnavelt," by John Fletcher and Philip Massinger (1619), controversial during its time for republican and anti-authoritarian implications.
