Women's Rights, 1919 - 1944
Scope and Contents
Correspondence concerning women's rights, both nationally and internationally. Because of the inter-connectedness of the various groups and because of the dominance of a few key leaders, the correspondence has been arranged chronologically, rather than by subject. Subjects included are: Inter-American Commission of Women, National Women's Party, Equal Rights Amendment, Equal Rights Treaty, Oslo Conference, and the League of Nations. Central to all these topics is Scott's involvement in the question of nationality rights for married women. Correspondence includes letters from Alice Paul, Doris Stevens, and Edith Hooker, among other prominent women's rights leaders.
