Collection-level Scope and Contents note
Papers of Professor Giovanni Giovannini, including letters, printed ephemera and recordings relating to poet Ezra Pound. Includes lecture cards and notes on English literature. Collection contains media (3 reels of 1/4" audio tape). The bulk of the collection is comprised of letters, corresondence, and printed matter related to the confinement of Ezra Pound at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, DC, and to efforts on his behalf to secure his release, as well as numerous newspaper and magazine clippings related to this period and to Pound's subsequent return to Italy after 1958.

The Caged Panther: Ezra Pound at St. Elizabeth's: New York, Twayne Publishers [1967].
