Letters from General Hartranft to Gen. Winfield Scott Hanover (photocopy). Trindal's note: "The former was Special Provost Marshal in charge of the prisoners at the trial of the alleged conspirators in the assassination of President Lincoln. The collection consists of 106 letters giving a daily account of the prisoners."
