1 Autograph Letter Signed (with envelope) to his Father and his Mother Harriet Williams. Reference to Charles' cold, the health of the regiment, celebrations after the capture of Fort Donelson, speeches by a colonel in a Maine regiment and by Col. Davis, George Washington's farewell address being read to the troops on Washington's birthday, and target shooting practice. Sent from Carver Barracks, Meredian Hill, Washington, D.C. On patriotic stationery: "The War for the Union." With patriotic envelope: "Union Forever. Separation Never."
