Container Summary
Facsimile of an amulet from Nigeria or Chad. Arabic contains: (1) stylized mosque with inset magic squares. (2) a budah square. (3) several other alphabetic squares. (4) symbols of the each set within a separate circle. (5) Qur'anic passages, such as the throne verse. (6) various invocations. (7) images of the sword of 'ait (Dhi al-Fiqar)a scorpion and a serpent, "seal of Solomon". (8) Last section contains an amulet against headache and aches and pains. 20th century. Mark Muelhaeusler brought this to SCRC 4/13/2011. Gift of Samir Zoghby.
