Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

Correspondence and printed material relating to the UNESCO colloquium celebrating the centenary of the birth of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.J., in 1981; as well as other organizations including the International Teilhard Compendium, the United Teilhard Trust, Fondation Teilhard de Chardin (Paris), the British Teilhard Association, and the Teilhard Centre (London). The collection also contains personal correspondence to Leo Zonneveld from Pierre Leroy, S.J., as well as by other associates and friends of Teilhard de Chardin, including Ellen and Mary Lukas, Robert H. Muller, Solange Soulie and Janetta Warre.

Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Library Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Autograph letters signed from Abel Jeanniere, dated June 15, 1981 and July 30, 1981, accompanied by reprint of his article "L'Avenir de l'Humanite d'Apres Teilhard de Chardin." 2. Autograph and typed letters from Mary Lukas to Leo Zonneveld, dated 1981 (5 + telegram); with reprint of article by Mary and Ellen Lukas, "The Haunting," (1983), concerning Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and the Piltdown conspiracy. 3. Typed letter signed from Tadeusz Pluzanski to Leo Zonneveld, dated January 20, 1983, accompanied by reprint of his article "Teilhard Aujourd'hui." 4. Autograph and typed letters signed from Max Wildiers to Leo Zonneveld, dated May 20, 1981, August 17, 1981, and July 19, 1983. 5. Book reservation cards for "The Desire to be Human," International Teilhard Compendium, edited by Leo Zonneveld and Robert Muller (1983). Includes one signed by Pierre Leroy, S.J.
