Container Summary

1 TMs and 3 carbon TMss of the "summarized statement...of Reichschancellor Hitler during his conversation with Mooney...March 4, 1940." During their meeting, Hitler had his assistant write out Hitler's statements in German, then translate them into English and carefully edit them. Folder also includes two handwritten drafts of the statement and a carbon of JDM's letter to Hitler requesting the meeting (16 Feb 1940), a copy of which is also in Folder 8, Box 1.
