Series-level Scope and Content Note
This series may be divided roughly into the following sections of HLH's business/work-related correspondence: - Correspondence related to HLH's years with public service administrations, includes NYAICP, ARC, Secretary of Commerce. (Note: includes some letters from the public addressed to HLH in his official capacity.) - Correspondence related to HLH's years as presidential advisor to FDR and his association with the White House particularly during the war years. Includes HLH's various diplomatic trips abroad to London, Russia and Europe. Folders are arranged alphabetically and correspondence within is in chronological order unless stated otherwise. (Box 1, Folders 1-16)
