This folder consists of Martin J. Griffin General Correspondence "W.J. Wade - R.F. Walshe" (1878-1911). Items of interest include: letters [from William Walsh (Aug. 27, 1878/Oct. 19, 1879)] speak of establishment of Father Mathew Camp where numerous victims of the Yellow Fever Epidemic of the late 1870's were treated; letter [from William Walsh (Dec. 14, 1895)] addresses the topic of liquor and abstinence in England and Ireland. It also gives mention to the administration of the abstinence oath to youth on the occasion of their first communion and confirmation.
