Container Summary
This material is comprised of correspondence of Andrew Graves, S.J., for the year 1973. Among the correspondence are copies of the newsletter "Mountain Dewings" which contain personal and parish news items. Of particular interest is a letter (Sept. 25, 1973) from Michael Begley, Bishop of Charlotte, concerning the results of a meeting of the Senate of Priests from the Diocese of Charlotte. Included in this letter is information regarding the upgrade of priests' salaries and directives on financial matters such as insurance, expenses, etc. There is also a letter (Nov. 19, 1973) from the Provincial's residence concerning the establishment of province Task Forces to address some of the major questions facing the Society of Jesus.
