Container Summary
Correspondence in this folder covers the years 1979-1984. Most of the items consists of letters with other Jesuits concerning provincial activities. One letter (Aug. 2, 1979) is in the form of a memo referring to an information up-date and request for help from the Salvadoran religious to the U.S. religious. Another letter-memo (July 26, 1979) provides information as to the state of affairs during the conflict in El Salvador and Nicaragua. Attached are two articles: one dealing with the expulsion of another priest from El Salvador and referring to the murder, expulsion and arrest of several other priests; the second being Juan Martinez's "Violence at Crisis Level in El Salvador."
