Contained within the folder is a handwritten oral history interview with Gilbert Stackhouse concerning the history of the Stackhouse Family of Stackhouse [Madison County], N.C. conducted on August 14, 1975. The material is in a question-answer format. Several of the questions have blanks in the space provided for the answers. Material does contain some interesting historical insights, particularly with regard to the social status of southern Negroes prior to integration.
