Included in this folder are informational materials essentially concerning the mineral springs at Hot Springs, N.C. There is a concise history of Hot Springs as well as materials pertaining to mineral waters in different parts of the United States, including a copy of three journal articles: 1) "Radioactivity of the Spring Waters of Hot Springs National Park and Vicinity in Arkansas" (Feb. 1954); 2) "On the Natural Radioactivity of Rainfall" (April, 1954); 3) "Scintillation Tube for the Measurement of Radioactive Gases" (Dec. 1952). These articles were collectively authored by Paul E. Damon, Howard I. Hyde, and P.K. Kuroda.
