Container Summary

This folder contains an Agricultural-Industrial Survey of Madison County, North Carolina (1934) conducted by the Civil Works Administration and edited by the Tennessee Valley Authority (1935). The survey contains a historical sketch of Madison County and surrounding areas and provides a rather detailed description of statistical data treating such topics as demography, topography, and agriculture. Included also is a typescript of unknown origins concerning the cleaning up of the French Broad River.
