Series-level Scope and Content Note
The Gallery Archives Series includes correspondence, manuscripts, handbooks, pamphlets, photos, slides, awards, and clippings which relate directly to the founding of the Gallery of Living Catholic Authors in 1932 by Sister Mary Joseph, S.L.; incorporation; Executive Council and Board of Governors; membership lists, plans, and qualifications; the establishment of the Academy of the Gallery and the Catholic Literary Award; Gallery functions, anniversaries, and activities; Gallery fund-raising plans; and Gallery publicity. Includes Sister Mary Joseph's personal correspondence, photos, awards, etc., which often relate to the Gallery. Boxes 68-76.
