15 TLS and 11 ALS from Catherine Doherty (nee' Baroness Catherine de Hueck), elected to the Gallery of Living Catholic Authors in 1948, to Sister Mary Joseph refer to Doherty's husband, Eddie, also a member of the Gallery, lectures, the Catholic Near East Welfare Association, "Friendship Houses" in Canada and Harlem, books by both the Dohertys, and a manuscript Thomas Merton had given to Catherine. Includes TLS from Edmund A. Walsh, S.J., referring to Catherine Doherty's lectures and the Welfare Association approved by Pope Pius XI. Also includes prayer cards.
